Combo Menu - Help

Welcome to Combo Menu Help document.
In here we'll explain, step by step, how to use the different functionalities of Combo Menu.


The main panel

This panel contains the following elements:
1. Main button - Displays Combo Menu items.
2. Settings area - With right mouse button allows to set the Main button's size, left mouse button for menu and while mouse moves over this area the extra 3 buttons appears next to it.
3. Settings button - Will open the settings window.
4. Minimize button
5. Exit button



Settings panel

In this panel the user can configure Combo menu's items and their actions.
1. Menu items list - This list shows all menus item, their title, path and time they were used.
2. Main Button Title - In this text box the user can set the Main Button's captions and background color (by clicking the plus button to the right of the text box).
3. Main Button Image - Here the user can choose to add a logo or a background image to the main button, browse for an image file by clicking the plus button.
4. Show Title on Main Button - If unchecked the Main Button will have no caption, otherwise it'll have a caption.
5. Set Combo Menu items icon size - Set their size by width and height.
6. Icon Place - Select where to place Combo Menu icon.
7. Main Button Image Align
8. Main Button Font - Select a font by click the plus button.
9. Cancel Button - Will discard all changes and close the settings window.
10. Apply button - Will apply all changes and close the settings panel.




Adding items to the menu

Adding item to the menu is very simple.
Open the settings panel (as explained before).
Right click the Menu items list and select 'Add item'. This will open the item panel that contains the following options:
1. Item name - Select a name for the menu item.
2. Item shortcut - This can be a shortcut for an exe, com, bat or any other type of file or it could be a shortcut to a certain folder.
3. Item icon - Select an icon for you item by click the plus button.
4. Item used counter - How many times was this item used.
5. Apply button - Apply current changes.
6. Cancel button - Discard all changes and close the items panel.
7. Item is separator - If checked then item will be used and a separator in the menu, the means it won't have a shortcut or an icon, it will only take some place in the menu. This can be used to separate the menu items into groups.
